Portfolio review. 9 days and counting.

Life is crazy. I think I am too.

Yes. There is such a thing and it’s called a mid-point review. I took it today. 25 Questions and I can’t miss more than 5. If I do, here’s the good part, I choose another major which means, MORE SCHOOL. And that I do not want. I find out the results tomorrow… for now though… it’s waiting and a 10 page research paper. These next 2 weeks are going to be draining but once it’s all over I will officially see that graduation light at the end of my tunnel. Please pray for my sanity. Thanks!- Sarah

Yesterday was awesome! We hopped in the Jeep with Shaun and just drove around for hours taking pictures… we loved it! It was the most perfect day and we found some awesome spots. We now have a monthly jeep date with Shaun. Yah!

This weekend went by so fast. We didn’t really do alot. Friday, Dave went up to the church and built something with Paul… I couldn’t really understand exactly what they built but I’m sure it was awesome. I just hung around the house and got some random things accomplished. I also played with ink photo transfers… it was fun.

Saturday, I had to shoot photos. My adventures were really disheartening when I came across a small playground surrounded by 18-wheelers and a gravel company. They even had to put a “No Vehicles on Playground” sign up. Poor playground. I am doing a series on urban development so that’s why I was there. I also came across some beautiful old buildings that were boarded up and ready to move out for a townhouse community. Sad. Really sad. Maybe it’s just my love for the nostalgic but I would have saved them or at least parts of them. I pick my film up today… I’m excited. Dave just organized some stuff at home and bought a neat storage thingy for our porch that was much needed. Saturday night we went over to the Joy’s for some hang out time. Mark and Britt were back from their honeymoon and I was super excited to see them.

Sunday was church as usual and then spending the rest of the day being lazy. I went to drop off my film in downtown Dallas and on the way back I got lost and ended up in the middle of Reunion Arena Sunday football traffic. Crazy football fans. Every highway around me was stopped. Another blonde moment to add to my list.

So, you know when things happen and you can’t figure out why or where they happened and it bugs you to death and you spend hours trying to recollect scenarios to explain what happened? It’s so annoying… and what’s even more annoying is that I have 3 big dents on the back of my trunk and I have no idea how they got there. They aren’t just hail damage looking dents, noooooo, they are purposely and forcefully placed dents ON MY NEW CAR!!!! Annoying. Absolutely, completely, annoying. Whoever did this… I hope your conscience pierces your heart and soul and you make yourself feel better by making a selfishly(because admit it, you probably don’t feel that bad) small donation to a children’s charity and please don’t touch my car again.

The weatherman last night said today it was going to be extremely windy. He wasn’t exaggerating. It the kind of wind that has the “wanna-be ice rain” in it that hurts when it hurts your face. And who doesn’t wear a jacket? Me.

I had my final Exam before my midpoint review in photo today and I am convinced that math should be a required minor for photo majors. Not just regular math but math of random made up numbers. I guess the people who invented f-stops and shutter speeds didn’t like the normal logical numbers so they just invented their own. It’s not all about pushing a button mind you. My brain hurts but it’s over.

Work is hectic. Every magazine is behind schedule which makes my job a continuum of chaos. Plus, they’re trying to move our office 30 minutes away which I am not too happy about. Actually, I’m mad but I tend to not be too good at expressing anger. Would you want to add 40 minutes to your drive everyday and have to cut back on your hours too? I think not. We’ll see.

We went to Mark and Britt’s wedding this weekend. (Pics to come) It was awesome. We are so blessed with the friends we have made here. I cried as soon as she started walking down the aisle and I saw Mark crying. I am such a cry baby but it was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. It was also the first wedding at our lovely little church!

I was going to take this class at the gym that I’ve been wanting to try-out but never have the time and I find out it’s cancelled tonight. The one time I can and I can’t. Welcome to my work-out world. When I want to I can’t but when I don’t I can. I guess it’s just gonna be me, my ipod, and the treadmill tonight, again. How boring.

Nothing else is really new. Just work and school and trying to be sane. Honestly, this post is a bit boring. Sorry guys. This is for Casey who said we’d never update. Update complete.
